NBC is reportedly reviving the series 'Coach,' with star Craig T. Nelson set to return. In these uncertain TV times, multiple networks have brought back the stars of their past successes to star on new shows. Will the new 'Coach' win over viewers?

I saw this yesterday. I liked the show in the 90's, but it was wasnt anything super special that I think needs to be revived.

Who from the original cast will be back? What will Coach Fox be doing these days? An AD at Minnesota St, maybe?

Is Jerry Van Dyke even still alive??
Everyone is like a hundred years old.

This just shows us that network TV is dead and gone. NBC can't make a go out of a show so they do this crap.

He was a newborn baby when they adopted him before the last season so that would currently make him the right age to be a college sophomore I believe, rather than a college head coach. They should have just made him an unhappy freshman player who transfers to play for his dad, the same way his daughter transferred in the original. At least I think she transferred, maybe I'm remembering wrong and she just started as a freshman. Anyway, if you really want him with a clipboard maybe he has a career ending injury and joins his dad's staff in a lesser capacity or something. But head coach is ridiculous given the timeline.

FTR, I will not watch X-Files or Twin Peaks. I never got into either of the originals.

I never watched Twin Peaks although I was a fan of the X Files.

Luther Horatio Van Dam is alive and kickin' at the age of 83. It's possible he could be back but I doubt it.

Just saw that this has already been cancelled.

I would have had to watch it, and I am sure it would have been horrible, so I am glad it isn't happening.
