I know Mr. Bo Ryan and Tony Bennett are strong candidates for this award. It could come down to who wins their conference championship. Remember, final record isn't always the best indicator of who wins the award. It's the proportionality factor of preseason expectations/final record plus dealing with adversity which is the main categories when determining the winner.

I think both would be deserving this year.

Only way someone other than Greg Marshall wins it is if Wichita St bows out early in the NCAAT.

If Bennett wins it would be his second in 7 seasons.

No because even Herbie can take pleasure of handing you one of those 3 losses. :)
BTW, UCLA wins, IMO.

Go ahead and hang your hat on winning that game cuz we all know that's your championship game for the year lol. We've got bigger fish to fry buddy.

Mick Cronin.

Picked to finish 4th in AAC (won AAC). Not in preseason top 25. AAC coach of the year. No offensive talent at all besides Kilpatrick. Hell of a job.

Donovan is constantly being overlooked as one of the nations top coaches. Florida doesn't have any stars but we can beat anyone and play their game doing it. We can play fast or slow.

The SEC was crap. I think that hurts.

But we were dominant. Our only two losses happened when we didn't have our full team

He's tremendous. No one can argue that. I think he's right there in the conversation. I just don't think he gets the award because they were expected to be dominant. They did exactly what was expected of them. It's like an MVP award. The guys expected to be stars who perform like stars aren't given as much credit.

Kentucky was expected to win the conference. There was some discussions, nonsense if you ask me, of them going 40-0 lol.

Donovan is just constantly overlooked. He has an extremely successful basketball program in football country.

Exactly. You don't see Boeheim, K, Self, Roy etc. Be glad your part of that group.

Tim Miles. Nebraska was picked to finish last in the Big 10 but finished 4th at 11-7. Pretty amazing what he has done.
