there was an article I read that Bellator is trying to get Lesnar and are willing to out spend Dana White to get him.

LOL...pardon my ignorance. I don't follow UFC that closely so I wasn't sure how they determined weight classes and was confused because Jason David Frank is listed at 214 lbs...so it would seem a bit odd/unfair unless Punk was around that.

I'm not sure on Punks weight, I've heard he walks around 210-215. In MMA, you really want to fight at as light a weight as you possibly can, because everyone hydrates now. If he fights at 185, the guy he fights will weigh 185 on Friday and 205-210 on Saturday. Looking at Punks build, I think 170 would be a real good call. It will be interesting to see what TYPE of fighter Dana pairs him with. Personally, I think if he pairs him with any legit mid carder, Punk gets crushed whether the guy he fights is stand-up or wrestler. He has none of the advantages Leaner had coming in, it's not gonna look like that

If you're going off weight reported by WWE, I wouldn't even bother. They pretty much make up every wrestler's height and weight. It's part of the show to make them seem larger than life. I could see Punk maybe being 200 pounds if he's fully cut but he's always looked to have a similar build to a middle weight so I'm not surprised that seems to be the weight class he's going for.

I would never go off a weight WWE gave out...hence, my question. I really don't know where he'd be fighting in UFC and while I'd guess he probably weighs about 180-185 IRL, I don't know. Wherever he ends up, I'd watch the first fight though. Hard not to be curious...

I could see Punk maybe being 200 pounds if he's fully cut but he's always looked to have a similar build to a middle weight so I'm not surprised that seems to be the weight class he's going for.

He is also looking at the competition. There are light heavyweights that have to cut weight to make weight. Light heavyweight is
185-205. Middleweight 170-185 welterweight 155-170. He is hoping to fight a 155 pound guy at 170.

Middle weight champ is Weidman, no chance to beat him, light heavyweight is Bones Jones, no chance to beat him. get down to welterweight and he might win a match.
