i think they were doing the usual 'season just ended' cleaning up. it was also said cloyd had 2 options left, so it showed what the phils thought of him to just release him. lolll.

Hopefully they are freeing up space so next year they can use their high draft position to get a couple guys that will move up quickly through the minors.
