Leave your application at the door..........

if you want to be the next browns HC

The Cleveland Browns are expected to start over. Again.

NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported Sunday that coach Rob Chudzinski likely will be fired after just one season with the team, according to a Browns source. The firing could happen Sunday night, rather than Monday morning.

It's a move nobody saw coming as recently as a few days ago, when it was assumed that Chudzinski was part of a front-office plan to restore a sense of continuity to a franchise that has chewed through coaches like cotton candy since returning to the league in 1999.

Rapoport was told earlier Sunday that team brass had soured on Chudzinski down the stretch because of a lack of effort and accountability on the part of his players. A seven-game losing streak, including a 20-7 loss to Pittsburgh on Sunday to cap a 4-12 season, didn't help.

NFL Media's Albert Breer believes that Penn State's Bill O'Brien and New England Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels likely would top Cleveland's wish list as candidates to become the team's seventh head coach since '99.

The Browns interviewed O'Brien last offseason, but the former Patriots assistant has become a hot name since taking an interview with the Houston Texans earlier this month. McDaniels worked his way out of a head coaching job in Denver, but he comes from the Bill Belichick coaching tree, like Browns general manager Michael Lombardi.

"You look at the great franchises," Browns left tackle Joe Thomas told the Akron Beacon Journal. "They don't fire your coach after the first season. You can't do it."

If O'Brien moves it's not to Cleveland. McDaniels may be a possibility. I'm not convinced he's a great hire though.

I think that's hasty. They have a bunch of early round draft choices, and could begin improving quickly.

I'd say they should go after Bob Saget. This guy is literally on nobody's radar and raised three kids as a single dad while also housing his deadbeat brother-in-law and best friend. Sounds like Cleveland coaching material to me.

Do we need more evidence this franchise is a joke? He was there for 1 year and has no QB at all. Despite this, they actually managed to be competitive in most games. How can they be that dumb yet still snooker the Colts in giving them a 1st round pick for Bust Richardson?

Plus they all but gave up on the season when the traded Richardson for that draft pick. In hindsight, this will probably end up being a pretty deal for them though.

Saw on twitter that a player who wanted to remain anonymous sent a reporter a text saying the coach was a douche bag and no one on the offense trusted him.

Has anyone in that organization thought that maybe, just maybe, they just suck no matter what?

CLE apparently has 10 draft picks, and two first rounders (that Richardson trade was solid). Honestly see an opportunity for this team to turn it around, if they make the right calls at draft time (for a change).

We need Cowher....ohh wait like he wants to come to Cleveland. Browns are fucked, until they get a new coach.

I really think if Hoyer wouldn't of got hurt, they would of been much better.
