I'll bite.
The Heaven Tonight album has to be one of the best rock albums (and most underrated albums) of the 70's.
Various members of Cheap Trick (Rick Nielsen, Robin Zander, Tom Petersson and Bun E. Carlos) have collaborated and/or played with so many artists including (but not limited to) Foo Fighters, John Lennon, Slash, Billy Corgan (Smashing Pumpkins), Chrissie Hynde (Pretenders), Blondie, Heart, and Darryl Hall (of Hall & Oates).
After they gained popularity with I Want You to Want Me, it seemed they had a string of songs that ended up solely on movie soundtracks. Movies such as Heavy Metal, Up the Creek, Top Gun, Rock & Rule, Roadie, Caddyshack 2, and Gladiator.
Don't know if it's true or not, but the rumor was that as Guns & Roses was actively looking for a lead vocalist, anyone auditioning had to sing a Cheap Trick song.
Seems like a lot of metal bands like to cover their music.
Maybe I'll post a few covers below if I can find them on YouTube.

saw cheap trick 3 times as an opening act for heart.robert plant.and aerosmith,never as the main event.they were good but they kicked out one of the best drummers ever in bun e. carlos.
