Celtics come in 13-26, 18 games behind Indiana in the conference, 8-11 at home.

Toronto is 19-17, 10 1/2games behind the Pacers, 11-7 on the road.

This won't be an easy game for the Raptors though. New coach Brad Stevens has got the Celtics playing hard to theend every game, with Jared Sullinger displaying serious ability on the boards, Avery Bradley playing the point much better than he did last season, Jeff Green looking like he merits All Star consideration, etc., etc., etc

Turn Toronto into the CRAPTORS, Celtics! :yahoo::nod::yahoo::nod::yahoo:

The "Edit" link needs to be modified so people like me who are not good typists can edittheir thread titles as wellas their texts.

I should have noticed the mis-spelling of "January" before clicking "Submit" I am well aware, but simplydidn't.

No excuses.

If the mods can correct the spelling gaffe I hope they will.

As far as I know, you can edit the title. You just click 'go advanced' after edit

Sounds to be our last game without Rondo gonna be great to see him on the court again

Celtics Hosting Raptors, 7:30 PM, Eastern Time, January 15, 2014

Celtics come in 13-26, 18 games behind Indiana, 10-12 at home.

Rajon Rondo, I just learned, has been sent to the D-League for what I'm assuming will be a short stint. He'll get some actual floor time there so he can get started on figuring out what he can still do and the adjustments he'll have to make. So it's actually good news for Celtics fans though it might not seem that way at first glance.

Toronto is 19-17, 10-9 on the road. But they had best not assume this will be an easy win because
new Celtics coach Gary Stevens has the team playing hard to the very end in every game I've seen this season. Plus Avery Bradley is playing the point much better than he did last season. And Jared Sullinger is continuing to look like he's going to be a force on the boards despite his lack of experience.

Turn Toronto into the CRAPTORS tonight, Celtics! :yahoo::nod::yahoo::nod::yahoo:

From what I understand Rondo was only sent there for the day and is due to be recalled tonight. I guess he only went there for practice today

And rumors floating that Rondo will be traded....

seems they gave up on Crawford real quick after seeing some scoring outbursts a while back. At least you now have a presence in the middle with Anthony - maybe his career needed a restart after collecting dust on Heat bench.

Jeff Green is no MVP guys. But if Rondo makes him better great. I for one wish they could have kept Crawford, but Danny is stockpiling for another deal ahead, similar to the Garnett move. Its either Hayward or Love imo. For Love he could now throw one or two round 1's, and maybe even 4 or 5 second rounders.

Its impossible to draft all these picks, no team has ever accumulated this amount, but still, seems impossible. Those Nets picks need to be kept tho...Those especially are priceless

I suspect most of those rumors originated in the imaginations of wishful-thinking fans of teams other than the Celtics.

The Pacer forum has several posts about such a trade. Which will never happen if I have my way.

I dont see the Trade. I cannot think of one team that has something they want. I can see the trade at season end, especially if we are talking a chance to draft in the top 3

I think you may be a little down on the appropriately named (for a Celtic) Green.

I would be more willing to trade him than Sullinger, but am in no hurry to trade either.

Nice to see Rondo suited up. Celtics are having to throw some odd line ups out there tonight without Crawford or Brooks there

Celtics by 4 at the half.

Just did some websurfing on Joel Anthony. He's only a back-up and so not what Ainge was most interested in getting.

I'm confident he'll make good use of the draft picks that came with Mr. Anthony, however.
