Does he stay next year or opt out?
Personally, I think he'll stay, as he is guaranteed $35MM for the season. If he opts out, there is no way he gets that from anyone else.

I guess I was wrong about this. The Twins are still trying to retain him and the negotiations are ongoing.
With Xander asnd Turner getting the deals they have gotten, would 12 years, $400MM be out of the question?
