Sucks but I wish him the best... I'm curious as to why they took Mauro over Williams though. Obviously signing a PS player from another team to an active 53 is a sign that they were in a pinch and needed help fast. Williams is the far more developed player at this point in time, so makes me wonder...

Arians wasn't in PIT obviously when Mauro was picked up so he can't know much about the player...it just shows how much he respects the coaches.

From a Steeler perspective though...Zumwalt ...IR, lost Wesley Johnson, Shaq Richardson PS IR...now Mauro...you wonder if they will get to develop any of these players for the 2015 season.

- 6 from 2014 (6/9picks) *Blanch on PS

16/26 players... Not terrible... Definitely better than years prior to that!

No...not terrible, but when you get position specific...hate to lose a versatile OL guy like W. Johnson...and obviously the CBs...gotta find a guy with size that can developed fairly quickly...I do not expect Ike to be retained for '15 and imo there is a chance that Allen could be released in '16 (his guaranteed $ is significantly less after '15 season) if he doesn't find some form pretty quickly. Hopefully Zumwalt or Hojo can develop into a real OLB prospect.
