we are 2 games in the w behind both a's and angels . only 1 game ahead in the lose with a's and 2 with angels . they play each other 10 more times and angels have m's 7 x while a's have 6 .

so we do have homefield in the playoffs to fight for go o's . i thought with the tigers and a's trades they had set them self apart from everyone else .per espn and baseball guys lmao you still have to play the games .

while yes i lean to the young guys alot over vets . schoop has had some huge homers for us that brob hasn't done in years . caleb is a catcher first and has meant more than matt would have . waldo has just stunk he should be left off any playoff roster .

We can very much take the #1 seed. We have 38 games left, with 27 being against the division. 21 home games, 17 road games.
4 vs TB, 3 @ TB
3 @ BOS, 3 vs BOS
4 vs NYY, 4 @ NYY
3 vs TOR, 3 @ TOR

The schedule is promising for us. We have 2 extended home stretches. 11 game homestand starting Aug 25, 4 vs TB, 4 vs MIN, 3 vs CIN. Go on the road for 6, 3 vs TB and 3 vs BOS. Then come home for another extended home stretch of 10 games consisting of 4 vs NYY, 3 vs TOR and 3 vs BOS. We finish up with 7 games on the road, 4 @ NYY and 3 vs TOR. It is going to take a choke of epic proportions for the O's to lose this.

Can we get home field throughout the playoffs? Absolutely.

Will we get home field throughout the playoffs? I'd think it's a good possibility. Coming out of the All Star break, we had the toughest schedule per ESPN, but now that we're through that initial barrage of West Coast power (that we went 6-4 against btw), we may have the easiest. As long as we keep winning series, I feel there is a good chance of getting that #1 seed.

we own the tie break head to head with the angels but a's own the head to head with us.... so we would be an extra game behind the a's

KC is looking like a team we may want to avoid, should we get in.

1. Is it too early to say "please don't let this be a repeat of Boston's September 2011" yet?

2. If the O's do end up winning tomorrow, the record would be 4-3 for the week... which isn't great, but enough to win a 7-game series if it were the postseason.

It's just about not letting things spiral into a big losing streak and letting the others creep back into it. Especially with the hth games still to come.

Looking like a sweep by Tampa ain't gonna help...
