his D overall is better than matts . that play down the line matt just let the ball stay fair and no out . the play where caleb had no angle and hit reyes in the back matt would have thrown it away . caleb frames pitches and makes the pitchers hit the inside target . that was a huge 3 run rbi then a sac bunt . for the record i have always said matt pitch calling sucked . yeah nolan return would mean more than matt will !

Clevenger: 0.133 CS%, 4.62 CERA, -5 rSB, -5 DRS (631.2 IP)
Hundley: 0.276 CS%, 4.07 CERA, 2 rSB, -2 DRS (4188.0 IP)
Joseph: 0.500 CS%, 3.02 CERA, 4 rSB, 8 DRS (404.1 IP)

I don't think career numbers are a good indication. Our pitching staff has been horrendous for years. Season numbers are probably better. My only concern with Caleb is his bat. He's hitting .228 with a limited scouting report on him. Can he hit in the .250 range? I'm not so sure. His only impressive upper level minor league season was in 2013 when he was 3 years older than everybody else in AA. I hope he can keep it up but saying he is better than Wieters is shortsighted. He's a #9 hitter for us. Wieters is a #5-6 guy.

matt doesn't frame pitches or call good games !!!! that is a fact jack . while matt should be better than his numbers he has never lived up to the second coming of billing .
