C Coleman or 2017 1st?

Up on the clock in my one dynasty league. I have been shopping for a 2017 1st for awhile now. The guy who drafted 2nd in this years draft is willing to deal. I would have to give up 1.04 who would be C Coleman and my 2017 3rd for his 2017 1st. His roster is as follows. I also own my own 1.07 2016 pick. Would you gamble on that roster bellow for a top 3 pick in 17? Which is a much better draft than this years crop.

I have a hunch you could still snag Coleman at 1.07. I got him at 14 in our dynasty here. .

I'd make the deal, next year's class has the makings of being quite a bit deeper

I'm on the clock with 1.04 that I got through trading Maclin prior to week 1 last season. I also own the 1.07 pick. He would be moving into the pick for Coleman or I will be picking Coleman. Only other guy I would consider would be Henry. But I think it's more likely he drops to 1.07 than Coleman. But Henry at 1.04 would be a pure need pick. With the retirement of Lynch i'm really shallow at RB.

I'd take Henry or Shepard at 7, if it were me, and deal for the extra 1st rounder next year.

parlay that 1.04 pick into another 1st rounder for 2017.
Unless you think that 3rd rounder next season will yield something, then I'd probably just keep my picks for next season, try to drafy Henry and Shepard this season.

his roster looks middling at best, not playoff caliber this current season. so that 1st round pick next year would be worth the gamble, if you don't think there is much value at the 3rd round. I'd assume it would be limited with big rosters.

Yeah I'd still take my chances and do the deal. I do really like Coleman, but I see his ceiling as a DeSean Jackson type..if you miss out on him, so be it. A loss, but not a franchise type building block. Still have 1.07, could snag one of the other equally impressive WR's, or maybe Henry. and with this guy's roster, chances are his 1st rounder next year will be a high one as well. Speaking of his roster, he's got big needs at both RB and WR..my guess would be he goes Henry, seeing as he went Treadwell at #2 (craziness)

Yeah the 3rd round pick doesn't hold a ton of value for me. Especially if i'm taking 3 picks before that. I would love to get either Henry or Shepard at 1.07. Those have been my targets from the start. I see the guy who had 1.1 this year and got Zeke jumping him. He has Mariota, Zeke, Ajayi, D Lewis, A Cooper, Watkins and Kelce.

either way, you could end up in this exact same position.
Not really NEEDING the guys available, have an extra 1st rounder, move it for another 1st rounder in 2018.

good position to be in. And you'll definitely need to address RB sooner rather than later, which is probably where the extra 1st rounder next year gets used.

I still would've taken Henry then Shepard with the 2 picks this year.

Hell, might still take Shepard at 1.07 if I were you.
Howard, Prosise, Drake, and a few other randoms have just as good a shot as Henry to carve out a role.

I think Coleman was the best value. But I will still get one of Henry or Shepard as the 1.5 guy took Thomas. So hopefully it falls my way with the RB.

I don't feel Treadwell is quality at the NFL level. He'll be more of a possession guy, than an elite star, like a Crabtree at best. Would rather have Coleman, Fuller, Thomas or Shepard. And at #2, in a dynasty, if it isn't a bona-fide can't miss "the next Randy Moss, WR, I'm taking a RB regardless

All the rookie drafts I have seen are a combination of the big 3 WR's Treadwell, Doctson and Coleman. With a odd draft with Henry or Dixon jumping into the top 4 picks. I tried moving up into the 1.05 and 1.06 picks but neither owner answered my trade offers before picking. Hate when that happens. So I got stuck at 1.07 as Henry went 1.06. So I went back and forth on Dixon and Shepard and decided to go Shepard.
