Whenever I hear Shannahan criticized for keeping RGIII in a 7 point playoff game I think of that game. Nobody criticized that coach and the player wasn't even a professional.

Always knew he was gonna suck at QB. For his sake, let's hope he's better at coaching than playing.

That's not the point. Both coaches left injured players in the game. In one case the player was a pro playing in a one score playoff game, the other was a college kid with even more to lose had he suffered a career changing injury.

One player was praised for his courage and the coach got no criticism because he got lucky and his player did not get injured further. The only difference between what Marshall's coach did and what Shannahn did was a bad snap put Shanny's QB in a vulnerable position for further injury.
