Cedric Benson keeps criticizing the Bengals offense | ProFootballTalk

He was 5th in attempts in 2010 and 7th in attempts in 2011. In both seasons he failed to average better than 3.9 YPA. Yet, we were supposed to run more? Really Cedric?

I can't wait until this pile of shit is out of the league.

We automatically put Scott in on the 3rd offensive series whether Benson was running well or not....didn't matter. That's just fucking idiotic.

Benson isn't one of the best, but he's better than what they gave him credit for. The Bengals were just too prideful to admit that Scott was a completely wasted and idiotic draft selection. They forced his ass in there come hell or high water. Name one damn thing Scott did all season that was positive.

I'm not a big B. Scott fan.... I think he's a decent kick returner and that's about it.

His run against B-More in week 17 was nice though.

I think our genius coaching staff took about 200 yards away from him with their "play Scott at all costs strategy." He's pissed. I don't blame him. He's not a world-beater, though.

Benson sucks, and Scott sucks worse....both need to be replaced.....

The idea to rest Benson from time to time isn't a bad idea, but the Bengals simplistic coaching staff did what they always do. They went with a hard set formula for a game that has to stay fluid. You don't rest Benson when he is hot. You don't pull him out of the game for an entire series. You rest Benson on 3rd and long and for a play or two at a time, not an entire series. You go by the feel of the game, not what your strategy sheet tells you to do. The Bengals coaching staff only does paint by numbers, there is absolutely no imagination when it comes to Marvin Lewis.
