Its not as stupid as you think. He could since he is currently unemployed. His time with the Panthers had him working with a similar style of offensive scheme, and he has multiple years of NFL OC experience to gather from, and could use the present personnel very well.

I don't want Freeze and I really don't understand why everyone thinks he would be so good of a hire. I want a guy who can run a balanced offense.

1. the impact of assistant coach turnover
2. the constant early loss of players to the NFL.

Both of those seem to happen to Bama every year....and they just keep on rollin'.

Freeze coaches to his talent. If you have him quality backs his offense would have been more balanced.

Well it depends on the team. The reason Alabama is able to do that is because Saban just hires the next big assistant. Which is also why they keep getting stolen.

It was kind of thought/hoped that the reason he hired Daboll was for long term continuity, but that obviously went out the window.

And Saban/staff do not get nearly enough credit for how much they coach kids up. Everyone thinks it's all because of top recruiting classes, and that obviously is a big help - but they also coach them up a lot as well - except for QB and kickers apparently. But if you listen to NFL types, they all seem to know it.

But most teams aren't able to keep hiring former HC's for position coaches and/or have the talent and ability to coach them up like Alabama.
