BREAKING: Marcelias Sutton sustains season-ending injury

NORMAN, Okla. — Sources tell RJ Young that senior RB Marcelias Sutton will miss the remainder of the season after sustaining a broken leg earlier in the week.

Oklahoma has seen running backs Trey Sermon and Kennedy Brooks take the majority of the snaps as of late.

Still, any hit at the running back position is a big one, with Oklahoma short due to Abdul Adams transferring to Syracuse and OU losing All-American Rodney Anderson early in the season to a torn ACL.

Sutton was a major player during his time at OU in the return game. Sutton started the last two seasons as kickoff returner and was the third string running back to start then 2018 season.

Oklahoma now will use Brooks, Sermon and T.J. Pledger to end the season at running back.
