I know highlight tapes don't mean much. I love it when they show me highlights of players where they mess up. Networks have been doing that lately on draft day.

I must say this kid has a motor and what appears to be a mean streak.

He is nasty. He just flattens guys. I wish he didn't dive on top of them once they are down, but looked to flatten another guy. But he sure does have a strong first push. Wonder how he would do on the right side.

That was my first thought. Punish the first guy then move on. Seemed to hold on a couple of those plays too. Will have to clean that up.

Yeah, I'm not sure we can trade down and still expect to get this guy. Dude is nasty.

And yet many are suggesting he or Peat might not be worth the #5 over all pick.

If we get either of them, wads should be blown.

You normally don't take a right tackle in the top 5, but Scherff is a left tackle that we would just use on the right side. Need to see more, but he looks damn good and has the attitude I think Trent would love. Remember Trent was the one who punched Richard Sherman in the mouth. Williams and Scherff, set at tackle for the next 10 years.

This assumes we can re-sign Trent. This is his last year on his rookie contract. I'd love to see us redo his deal and extend him for another 5 years or so.

Dallas took Smith at #9 in the draft and stuck him on the right side his rookie year. We should do whats best for the team as a whole. And right now IM hard pressed to see this kind of player as NOT being good for the team as a whole.

With the Bears, Giants and Rams ALL needing o-line help... Some how I dont see this guy dropping to 11 or 12. In fact, depending on his combine work outs and interview, I would not be shocked to see us getting offers for the pick from one of those teams trying to move up a couple of spots to take him. We might not be desperate for a starting LT, but make no mistake, some one out of those three teams would love to get this kid.

im more of a peat fan so i say draft peat and sign iupati. boom. but this guy is a beast hopefully hes not a robert gallery (iowa). i could live with drafting scherff at 5.
