Wings ran out of healthy bodies, higgy, but I think the team that deserved to win is moving on. Besides, who doesn't love a Boston - Montreal series?

Agreed. Last year I didn't believe Chicago was the better team, just the healthier team.

This year they weren't healthy, but the Bruins were the better team, offensively and defensively.

Bruins scored half their goals in this series on the kindl/lashoff paring.

Wings need a serious overhaul on their defense

Wonder if they'll pony up some $$$ for Matt Niskanen

You can have Nikitin. And Schulz. They are both UFA.

I know it's hard to take right now, but there is no shame in losing to the Bruins. That team seriously has no holes anywhere.

Agreed Boston is the best team but I expected the wings to put up a challenge.

I didn't expect every single one of the wings young players to disappear completely. Very disappointing considering they were the ones that got the wings to the playoffs in the first place.

I'm done with Franzen. For getting his contract based on playoff performance, he hasn't shown up in the playoffs since 2009. He's not worth the lazy stretches that he takes off during the season if he's not going to show up when it matters most. But I doubt holland has the balls to buy him out

The thing is when he gets hot he's dominant, but that's why I'd consider letting him go - the other things in his game just don't cut it - and it would give them cap space to improve the defense

Those stretches are getting fewer and fewer each year.

Didn't he have like six goals or something in a single week? It was unbelievable - if he could be half as good for the entire season he'd be great

We'll end up taking him. We've become the mecca for lazy playoff performers.

He could easily be one of the top scores in the league if he had a good work ethic

certainly not the series I thought it would be. Bs have been vulnerable last few years in the first round but I'm starting to get the feeling this years team is on another level. Bring on the Habs:suds:

Such insecurity I sense. When talking to Boston fans one must always remember to say their team is better. Or they berate you as seen on this thread or call you a whiner. The problem is that being a better team and being diving classless putas is not mutually exclusive. Boston is a better team. A team full of divers like Chara. See his game changing dive. :10:

whatever, whining is the purest form of insecurity I sense. have a fun filled off season:suds:

You are always right I forgot..

Glad we can at least agree on something.

And congrats on the Bruins winning the series. They surely look like a tough team to stop this year.

If you ask me, it's because of 1 word.........IGGY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How about you tell us what you want to sign Nikitin for and then we'll trade.

I have a lot of respect for the Red Wings as a team. They are always in it and are always good. Of course I am happy to see my team advance but for the most part this was a very enjoyable thread.

Thanks to all for making it that way.

Calling people whiners instead of dealing with the truths in their statements is pathetic. Next round Chara diving vs subban diving. I can see it now. Both players make a small amount of contact fall to the ground and whine for a call. Bostons a dirty diving team. :suds: I even showed you video evidence. You can call me a whiner but you cant call me a Liar.
Have fun embarrassing the NHL.
