Boise State softball picked by MWC coaches to repeat

Boise State's softball team, which won their very first MWC championship last season, has been picked - nearly unanimously - to repeat as champions of the MWC this season. Boise State received eight of the nine coaches picks to win the conference again this season (NOTE - No coach can vote for their own team so it's clear that the only vote that didn't pick them was from the new Boise State head coach).

Broncos Predicted to Defend Mountain West Title - Boise State University Athletics

The first games for the Boise State softball team are scheduled for next Friday at 10 a.m. MT in Austin, Texas, vs. Boston College and 12:30 p.m. MT vs. Northwestern State in Austin, Texas. The Broncos play Northwestern State again the next day (Saturday) at 9 a.m. and then play # 16 Texas at Noon Saturday and then finish up the weekend with another game vs. Boston College at 9 a.m. MT Sunday. These five games that will start off the 2019 season for the Boise State softball team are part of the Texas Classic softball tournament.

3rd Base - Jessica McKay - Junior - RETURNING STARTER (In Left Field last season - played 2nd base in 2017)

Right Field - Ashlyn Adams - Sophomore - RETURNING STARTER (5th best BA in the MWC last season at .402)

Center Field - Kora Wade - Senior - RETURNING STARTER (7th best BA in the MWC last season at .380)
