Houston I suspect actually owes more to James Harden than to the somewhat egomaniacal Howard.

Howard is another in a long line of bigs who overestimate the value of size. Harden understands the game better than most players at any position.

Former Celtics coach Doc Rivers doing well with the Clippers doesn't surprise me at all. His successor here in Boston has done better than I expected.

Considering Russell Westbrook was out for over 2/3 of that time and now the Thunder have their 2 best defenders out no, it's neither surprising nor anything to worry about.

People actually said on here that they'd take D - Wade over James Harden.....but anyways, I don't see either of these getting the chip this year, but they are well on their way to building something really nice

I expected both teams to be about where they are at, I don't think either will make the finals but they may in the next year or two for sure!

For a season assuming healthy (big if) I still take Wade over Harden due to experience and defense, but I saw the Nets at 3. Hopefully that streak continues and they can manage the 3rd seed. Only 4 games back I believe, still do-able.

Nice feedbacks. I actually feel LA has a solid chance, due to Doc and the development of Jordan and Blake this year. Houston still needs a PG. Harden is not a ball handler that for sure

I figured all the Clips and Griffin needed was a season with Doc. Houston gelled more quickly than I thought they would with Mchale.

You can see the difference in Howard already. His points/35 min factor is back up to 2008 peak years and his fg and ft% are climbing. Back to averaging 19 pts while minutes are down.

His post moves improving too. Dwight looks like he is a cornerstone for Houston now.

But McHale needs a PG still
