I was surprised when 24 was eliminated. While I wasn't a huge fan, I thought it was going to win this rather easily.

It was great for decades. Mike Wallace in his prime was the scariest reporter you didn't want to see walking through your door.

Should the Three Stooges even count as a television show? Weren't they just a bunch of old movie shorts that were repackaged for TV?

I never watched, but that is an interesting point. My opinion, though, is that it WAS a show, no matter the content. SNL is just a collection of skits. 60 Minutes is just a collection of news stories from the last few months.

Monty Python's Flying Circus (the movie) was just a collection of highlights from the TV show.

yeah but SNL was a collection of skits made for TV, not made for another medium and repackaged for TV. Same with 60 Minutes.


I do not really disagree, nor am I arguing, just trying to think it through. I am stuck at work and this is as good of a topic to think about as any.....
