Probably not "best," but Temple of the Dog (Soundgarden and Pearl Jam, recorded before Pearl Jam released their debut album) might be worthy of consideration:


Hunger Strike is the song everyone has probably heard from the album, but Say Hello to Heaven is just awesome.
