gordon and white GOAT willl both be top 5 picks

/thread

So now you are using draft status because the actual numbers say i'm right?

That's especially funny because Gordon is projected to go the highest of the three and is ranked as the top draft-eligible back by NBC, SI, NFL.com and other outlets.

In fact, not wearing him down to the point where it will hurt his draft status and/or cause him to go pro this year is one of the major reasons White has more carries.

thats not the end, its a delusional fan banner

So Brasky posts stats and a highlight video and its delusional fan banter but you post no stats and make no argument, and what? You're the ultimate reasoned sports observer?

Abdullah isn't the best back, but as I said, he's definitely top ten. Considering how much attention he gets nationally, you wouldn't think he was one of the ten best backs in his own conference.

Something you guys also should understand about Carey:

He sat out the first 6 quarters of the season; so feasibly, you could add another 200-300 yards to his total this year.

He led the nation in yards last year at just short of 2000.

He has averaged over 150 YPG over the last two seasons.

He's currently at 13 consecutive games over 100 yards.

He's only a junior.

I hate to break it you, but the "Circle Jerk without actually discussing sports" forums closed a few months ago. Step up your game or leave.

Great back. Ameer's only a junior as well. Too bad his offensive line has been in shambles for weeks w/ 4 starters going down yet he keeps producing against some of the best run D's in the nation.

This is a fun argument. I don't necessarily think Ameer is the best back in the country, but he deserves to be in the discussion FOR SURE.

Still wouldn't trade him for anyone.

# of quarters played is irrelevant when you have almost 100 more carries than the other guy.

IM sure their o-lines and qbs play into this

however i see nothing on nbcsports listing gordon as most draftable

SI has gordon and carey a whole spot apart

also see nothing on nfl.com

yet see numerous articles about carey being a first or second rounder

other sites list seastrunk or sankey drafted first...........

I said Carey was the #2 overall back. You are the one who says they aren't anywhere similar in talent, not me.

And here is the NBC link.

point is talent wins out if your the best in the country your not splitting looks

So this wasn't you saying Gordon wasn't talented enough to be in the best running backs discussion?

I got a 35 ACT Reading and almost aced the LSAT Reading section. Maybe I got thrown off by the poor English, but I could swear that was the implication of your post.

And your posting style and English seem awfully familiar......

# of quarters played is irrelevant when you have almost 100 more carries than the other guy.

The title of "leading rusher" is given to the one who has the most yards, not yards per carry.

So having those yards would put him a distance ahead as the 2nd leading rusher, after being the best rusher last year. That's a big deal. And it also speaks to how much of a workhorse the kid is, when he gets so many touches per game. It's tough to keep getting pounded like that, play after play. It's one thing to say that a player can have more yards on more carries, it's another thing to go out and do it.

Oh, and going into today, Sankey has 7 more carries than Carey, and 43 more yards. Doesn't seem like 100 more carries to me. Seems like he right around everyone else, and 7 less than Sankey.
