Seriously? That was one of the most boring movies I have ever seen.

I felt like it could have easily gone on for another 2+ hours and I would have been happy. It was long, but I felt that almost every scene was meaningful and provided insight into characters. You are able to do that when you pick topics as broad as childhood and parenthood. I won't understand how people find that boring but LOTR, with at least 30 unnecessary and uneventful minutes per movie, to be classics.

If Mason Jr. had been developed and acted as well as the parents, Boyhood would have easily been one of my favorite movies of all-time. Unfortunately, he really wasn't.
