His comment isn't even true in my opinion. It was a good season by White, but certainly nothing special to call it one of the best in history.

Yeah it was a bit odd what he said about White. Here's an example of a Big XII QB that put up crazy #'s during the BCS era (but didn't win the Heisman). TT's Graham Harrell. In '08 he threw for 5,111 yards. Had 45 TD's & only 9 int's while completing 70.6% of his passes.

Yeah I don't think his season cracks the top 25 since the BCS era.

So what? This thread isn't about the NFL.

-White in '03: 3,846 yards / 40 TD's & 10 int's / 61.1% / 158.1 rating
-Winston in '13: 4,057 / 40 TD's & 10 int's / 66.9% / 184.8 rating
-Mariota in '14: 4,454 / 42 TD's & 4 int's / 68.3% / 181.7 rating

Comment # 10: "JW had one of the most prolific season in history"

That's true but Winston & Mariota had better Heisman winning seasons.

He did up until that point. Both those guys played after him and offense has changed drastically since OU and Mike Leach reinvented it in 2000.
