Sorry, I can't stay quiet on this one. The Big 12 has traditionally in the past played a COMPLETELY different offense than the SEC. Hell, we had to recruit 5 db's a year just to be able to rotate. They ran more in one game than you probably have in your entire life! You just can't compare defenses between the Big 12 and the SEC. Alabama would have gotten a lot of yards put on you as well. It was just the offense at the time. It racked up big yards. Go back and look at all the qb's and how many yards they threw for. There's no way that the Big 12 just had bad defensive players and bad coaching. No way. Not every team, because every team had a lot of yards put on them when they played those offenses.

Now today, the defenses seem to be catching up a little. Maybe not as effective, but still effective.

Mizzou dropped 50 on Tennessee and 45 on Arkansas, UF, and Vandy. Also dropped 28 on UGA. Texas held them to 16 with their B squad defense. I understand the OC dipped out but still. The SEC is extremely top heavy and overrated. They’re not what they once were no matter how often ESPN keeps trying to drive it down our throats.
