Not many surprises, but interesting to see what they'll be lining up like.

Hmmmmm.............Floyd is backup?

Hopefully he actually gets a lot playing time.I just don`t like the fact that a number one pick ends up being a backup.Otherwise to me its kind of a wasted draft pick............

I mean, LB is easily our strongest position. It's all proven vet guys. I'm willing to bet he'll be in on passing downs. Most rookies don't start Week 1. First round or not.

I would tend to think most 1st round rookies would start.except some qbs.........

But Floyd did play a lot snaps and looked good....

Most lineman on either side don't (usually rotate on D)... A lot of WR's don't... most RB's don't... QB's are starting to now more so. LB's start off rotating a lot. Truly... a lot of them don't start right away.

I do think Floyd played majority of the snaps though. He was in on a lot of plays. Got a sack. Solid debut.

Techinically, Floyd started, and played the most snaps of anyone at his position. He had 6 tackles and 0.5 a sack too. I thought he had a decent debut, and should only get better as time goes on.

I agree with what yer saying tho to a degree. My assumption is, that they prolly thought they might lose or trade a LB this year?

I was shocked by it at the time, but it was pretty unanimously agreed upon that they had a good draft.

Exactly what I said when they took Floyd, and also the first question the media asked Pace. Pace answered by saying he is of the philosophy that you take best player available.

And there you go...

What part of the 5 injured makes you think that they would not have been starters?
I believe 3 would have been.
But it doesn`t matter because they didn`t have the chance to be out there....
And there were not 32 picks,cause NE had theirs stripped.

Floyd is going to have to get bigger, the bears expect him to get bigger, the question is does he keep this quickness while he gets bigger. After watching the speed rushers of Denver, it most probably made up their mind. Beat the hell out of having Shea there.

After making so many moves to strengthen the D front 7, Hargreaves was the bigger need BPA, after week 1 of Leno Jr, Tunsil (who everyone thought we were taking when Stanley dropped) still seemed like a bigger need.

It was always Fishers plan that Goff would have been #3 game 1 and #2 game 2.
