FSU is getting hosed. Top 10 in virtually every total offensive and defensive stat. May not end up that way, but if the current information continues they need to be in the BCS NC

I doubt all these teams will go undefeated, teams fall out every year.

I think Baylor's next game could be their ticket out of the BCS race.

I think FSU's chance will be either this week or CCG week.

Bama would be either Auburn week or CCG week. And possibly LSU.

Oregon could vs Stanford or CCG week.

Ohio St could be either Michigan or CCG game week.

Hypothetical question:

If Miami beat FSU, do they jump right to #3 or does Ohio St go to #3 followed by Miami??

I think Miami might not jump straight above Ohio st., but would eventually if they won out.

5. Stanford (.7918)
6. Baylor (.7645)
7. Miami (.756)
8. Clemson (.6687)
9. Mizzouri (.6096)
10. Oklahoma (.6064)
11. Auburn
12. Texas A&M
13. LSU
14. South Carolina
15. Texas Tech
16. Fresno St
17. Northern Illinois
18. Oklahoma St
19. Louisville
20. UCLA
21. Michigan
22. Michigan St
23. UCF
24. Wisconsin
25. Notre Dame

NCAAF NCAAF Rankings - ESPN

1) Oregon controls their own destiny to the NC, if they win out;
2) This:
12. Texas A&M
13. LSU
14. South Carolina

= Ridiculous, if both BYU and Texas are not even ranked.

3) Please explain how L'Ville is 4 spots ahead of a team (UCF) when they have the identical record, but the other team has played a tougher schedule, and the other team beat L'Ville heads up @ L'Ville???????:lame:

And fucking Oklahoma got killed by Texas, yet they're a top 10 team and Texas is unranked. That's fucky.

How annoyed are Ohio State fans at Wisconsin being ranked where it is? Without that debacle in Tempe, I think they'd be around #13-14 and the SoS boost would put Ohio State much closer to Oregon/FSU.

It would help but we'd still be hosed. Fsu had a better win than we will have a chance at all season and Oregon has several at that level as well.

It'll work itself out. I think Wisconsin will win out and will finish the regular season around the top 10 at 10-2.

If Michigan can get past Sparty I fully expect them to be 10-1 coming into our game, which will also likely be around a top 10 ranking.

We'll finish with one or two top 15 wins not counting the B1G CCG if we win that. If Oregon, FSU and Bama are unbeaten we'll be in the Rose and I'm fine with that.

I dunno about that. Clemson isn't looking all that hot. I could see them definitely dropping the game to SCar. If Wisky keeps winning convincingly they could certainly jump them.

True, but even though Miami looks like hot garbage, they're still undefeated going into this weekend...

If FSU wins that's another strong win for them that OSU has no way of matching (unless Michigan gets their shit together)...

I think OU is done. They lost 2 of their best on defense and are having issues vs the run now. Just lost their best football player in, Milliard. You can say he is just a FB, but he did so much for OU. I would be very surprised to see OU win that game.

Baylor actually has the best remaining schedule.
That is 4 ranked teams in their final 5 games (maybe depending on Texas).

Baylor is also the one team that can "WOW" the humans even more so than Oregon.
Baylor has an offense and style points that can even make Oregon look boring.

Baylor is not a better team than the others.
But, they excel at putting on a show.

Computers ignore the show, but Human beings are flaky.
If enough voters fall in love with the "Baylor show" it could really shake things up.
Baylor could completely disrupt the expected human voters thank to the "WOW" factor of their play.

Baylor represents the possibility of creating pure chaos.`

Oregon and FSU should be rooting for a Baylor loss. Chaos would scare them.
Ohio State should be rooting for Baylor wins. Chaos can only help them.

No, Baylor has no chance. The Big 12 might be worse than the B1G this year, and outside of Texas and Oklahoma it doesn't have the same name recognition/popularity.

Doesn't matter if they put on a show for Bama, FSU and Oregon. So long as they all win out, Baylor's show will not jump them. As you said, the computers don't care, and if they win out the Big12 will have what, 1 or top 25 teams? Their SOS won't be there. Not saying they aren't a good or great team. Just saying they won't pass up the top 3 right now unless they lose.

I never said Baylor would get in.

I said Baylor would create an element of chaos that neither FSU nor Oregon wants.
Ohio State would actually stand to benefit the most from Baylor chaos.

Ohio State has no shot whatsoever if Chalk holds up.
Ohio State needs as much chaos as possible to sneak in.
Baylor represents an interesting element that could shake it all up.

Coaches vote with conference bias. They tend to flip in the final poll towards agenda based voting.
That is a fact. And it makes sense for them to do so.
They vote for the teams they understand.

A coach in the PAC-12 cannot in good conscious vote down Florida State to #5.
It looks bad and sleazy.
At best they can park them at #4 behind Ohio State.

For example, PAC12 coaches will likely lean towards Oregon.
They cannot just arbitrarily vote Florida State down to #5 unless there is an alternative choice.
So they all vote Alabama, Oregon, Baylor, Florida State, OSU.

Then the ACC teams come in and do something similar.
They might start voting Alabama, Florida State, Baylor, Oregon, OSU

Then the Big 10 coaches come in and vote:
Alabama, Ohio State, Baylor, Florida State, Oregon

Nobody thinks Baylor has a shot. So, they would be the safest "blocker" vote.
Baylor would be the logical "neutral" choice for coaches to hide agendas.

Baylor would get throwaway votes that are intended to be meaningless blocker votes.
If it happens enough, the whole deck is shuffled and there is no expected result.

Baylor would not get in.
But they would make the uncertainty far more scary for OSU/FSU.
