BCSNCG: Alabama vs Florida State
Rose: Stanford vs Ohio State
Orange: Miami vs Oregon
Fiesta: Texas vs Auburn
Sugar: UCF vs NIU

Gotta bad feeling about the Sugar Bowl again. It could be incredibly shitty. I feel bad for some of the remaining undefeateds. Someone may get left out this year. All top 4 teams have a claim if they run the table. But, plenty of games left to play. It will sort itself out.

Also I think fresno stays ahead of NIU. MW stronger than MAC

Yeah Oregon hasn't had the best luck last two years with late field goals.

Defense.
Running Game.
Efficiency at QB.

Stanford has it more than anyone else Oregon has faced thus far.

only thing is Oregon is better in 2 of those categories by far.

And defense is close to a push.

The picks are not bad, but the Sugar Bowl would not get stuck with both the lesser brands.

They get first choice if Bama goes to the BCS game.

They would likely pick a highly regarded SEC team, Notre Dame, Big 10, or Big 12 team if any of them are BCS at large eligible. Auburn seems the logical pick.

The Sugar Bowl would end up with one of the two for their second pick.
I am guess they pick UCF.

The NIU / Fresno State "winner" seems destined to end up in the Fiesta Bowl.

So, you just need to swap Auburn with NIU.

Sounds about right. I'm just looking at the Orange Bowl having first at large picks this year so I figured they get the best possible matchup. But you're probably right.

The Orange Bowl does get the first at-large pick.

But, if the Sugar bowl loses their champion (ALABAMA) they get a replacement pick before at-large picks.

And if two bowls lose their champion (ALABAMA & FSU), they each get a replacement pick with the #1 ranked team getting the first replacement.

So, it would go like this:

Sugar (Replace Bama), Orange (Replace FSU), Orange (first at large)

BCS National Championship:
Alabama(13-0) vs. Oregon(13-0)

Rose Bowl:
Ohio State(13-0) vs. Stanford (10-2)

Sugar Bowl:
Auburn(10-2) vs. Clemson(11-1)

Fiesta Bowl:
Baylor(11-1) vs. Northern Illinois(13-0)

Orange Bowl:
Florida State(13-0) vs. UCF(11-1)

Orange Bowl loses out that the best at large available will be Clemson and can't have that match up. UCF seems like the logical choice there.

While the best at-large available will be Clemson, there will be multiple at-large teams that are more attractive than UCF.

I realize that, but if Clemson gets picked, like my scenario, UCF is going to the Orange.

If Clemson is picked to replace Bama, then the Orange can have Auburn.

This won't happen though. The Sugar will pick an SEC team for their replacement pick.

credibility lost.

Yeah. What a dumbass to think Stanford can upset Oregon. Maybe it would make sense if Staford had shown that they can hang with Oregon in the recent past...

Likely hood of an SEC team not replacing Bama in the Sugar is 0%. Let's be honest.

I agree. After the Rose Bowl picks, there is only going to be 1 at-large team available, which will be chosen by the Orange. They'll take whatever team they can, whether its a 2-loss OU, 2-loss Wisconsin, etc. Any team that is top14 and draws eyeballs/crowds is who the Orange will take.

Then the pool for the Sugar and Fiesta drops to:
Fresno/NIU (whichever is ranked higher)
UCF

UCF has a better chance to sell out the Orange Bowl than Wisconsin or OU does IMO. Especially if they play FSU.

No one would watch a FSU vs. UCF bowl, unless Winston wins the Heisman. Your notion that Wisconsin/Oklahoma would not represent as well as UCF is laughable.

All three teams would sell their allotment. I mean it's a 3 hour drive from campus. Also the last time OU was in a BCS game nobody watched and the last time a B1G team got sent to the Orange bowl nobody watched.
