Line opened as 2 points towards Missouri, and has moved towards Auburn as now being a 2 to 2 1/2 point favorite.

While a lot of the talk has been around whether a 1-loss Auburn is better and more deserving than an undefeated Ohio State, the simple reality is..., are they better than Missouri?

They look about even with Auburn being the better running team while Mizzou can pass.

Missouri is a mid-level B12 team. There is no way they can compete in the SEC.

Auburn all the way.

maybe Missouri can stop Auburn from running at will between the tackles, unlike Alabama.
that's their only hope

ESPN has already declared Auburn the winner

I've seen more ESPN analysts call it a tossup or pick Missouri than pick Auburn.

The difference is Auburn is the only team in the game that has any chance of making the title game if Ohio State and Florida State win. It is still a longshot, but Missouri's odds are basically 0 without one of them losing.

Even if Missouri beats Auburn 42-10?

yeah even then i think they measure up well behind auburn if auburn were to beat missouri by a similar margin. having the alabama win is a big difference. their biggest win to this point is texas a&m and auburn also owns a win over them.

Why? AU lost to LSU (9-3) by 14, Mizzou lost to USCe (10-2) by 3 and it had to go to overtime for the loss. So, basically Mizzou can pull the "undefeated in regulation" card right?

sure, they can pull that card but they are missing that win over the #4 team in the country. that's a big one. auburn probably overall had a little tougher schedule as well. i think the conference schedules were similar with auburn's being a little tougher and the out of conference schedules... while neither being great were about the same (both played arkansas state... washington state, florida atlantic, western carolina for auburn, indiana, toledo, murray state for mizzou.

Auburn and Mizzou have the same shot of going to the National Title. Florida St and Ohio St win, 0% shot. One of them loses….100%
