As the others have said, you take Foster and run. We wouldn't even get a sniff at this kid if not for his tribulations. He's a kid who made a couple of stupid mistakes. And really, is that the the microscope these dudes are put under? He got into an argument with a med personnel at the combine. Whoopty fucking doo. That's a federal crime now? He had a diluted urine sample. Holy shit! He didn't test positive for anything. It was a diluted sample. There could be a logical explanation for it, like the one he gave. But I'll play devils advocate and say he probably purposely flushed his system. Who gives a shit. These guys destroy their bodies for entertainment purposes. He's a top five talent, plain and simple and has never had an issue while he was in the Alabama program. That speaks volumes in itself

Not saying I'd pass but here would be the factors I would have to take into account with Foster
If Foster is in the program and needs a 2nd surgery on his shoulder
Doesn't a mlber use his shoulders a lot ?
What if he starts the season on PUP due to shoulder
These could be reasons to skip Foster
If you continue to draft character players because of your locker Ron at some point doesn't your locker room become the Bengals

They will pass on Foster in the 1st if the security interviews come back negative. Foster playing on SUnday is not the issue. It would be his motivation and what he does Monday - Saturday. Foster failing the combine is only new to the media. You hope he is not the next "Randy Gregory"

If a bonehead is dropping because he's a bonehead, I wouldn't be entirely confident in taking him.

There are two Ds you need to figure out. Is he dumb or dependent or both or neither?

People were probably saying the same thing about Shane Ray, what an idiot he was and how it's risky to take him. That worked out for us, Foster may or may not. IT all comes down to whether you think getting a player who is almost a guarantee of being a great player but with some issues is better than a shot on a player who could very will be a bust but has no issues.

We've been lucky recently too, and I trust Elway and their crew to take calculated risks on players more than others.

I would almost bet Mingo's Millions on us picking up a Mixon or Foster in this draft, and both wouldn't shock me one bit.

I think both would be somewhat surprising. I don't think the Broncos want to be known like the Bengals of the past.

Von, Talib, and a few others have worked out pretty well. I think with a majority of them doing things the right way, they can show and tell the youngins how to do things smarter than they did.

I don't think many of our players even remotely remind me of quite a few former and current Bengal players.

I don't think in Millions anymore, but your are correct - sooner or later they add up to real money.

Foster and Mixon If Elway pulls that off he's best GM ever.

Still on the fence with Mixon, can't get over that video. But Foster is the man. I would be stoked if we took Foster then Sid Jones. Two future pro bowlers

Hard for me too but, his skill set is exactly what we need. I want Elway to stop drafting to outsmart everybody on O and pick proven talents not in time he could be great types.

I agree, I think Mixon is probably the 2nd best rb in the draft

I want Syd Jones as well but, I don't like to get my hopes up. Elway rarely drafts guys I would want anyways.
