Dude... they have had 4 turnovers on lazy entry passes so far. That is ridiculous.

The bold was my point all along.

A sense of wellness is garnered by many factors, not by just an eye test or an educated eye. Having the knowledge of who you beat, the type of comebacks you've won, the teams you've beat, the defense you have the growth in tenure under your newer system, never losing to date this year and the 'educated eye' are all contributors to this sense of wellness IMO.

Good luck on the year! As I said before the game started, it's too bad the loser in this one wont get a chance at redemption this year in the regular season. It's looking a lot like it will be the Bruins unless a lot changes from now till games end.

I agree, it is a damn shame that these two teams only play once. The conference expanded due to football, which is good for the conference... but the fact that it means these two great rivals will not play twice this year, or twice next year is a travesty.

whatever zona's loses with UCLA they gain with colorado. and the ucla/usc rivalry is heating up right now.

i know we are the new guys at the table but i think ucla/zona playing just once is good for both schools & the league

We aren't even playing our best right now... could be up by 20 if we limited the turnovers.
AZ_Sting, do you think UCLA is having anything to do with those turnovers buddy?

See... the thing is Colorado is the 5th team in the last 20 years that "wants to be Arizona's rival".

Arizona only has one true rival in basketball, and it is UCLA. Sure, the CU vs UofA games have been great the last few years, but CU was not playing for the title.

In the last 25 years Arizona has 10 conference titles, UCLA has 8. 18 out of 25 years one of these two teams was the champion, and the other, more often than not, was the runner up.

That is why this is the best basketball rivalry in the West. When they play, it means something.

If UCLA comes back to win this game, the Cats have nobody to blame but themselves.

8+ unforced turnovers
4 times they've missed the front end of a 1-and-1

i know but in terms of cultural fit I think CU/zona fit much better from a school wise standpoint.

in terms of a competitive standpoint its a better fit.

it has been a great rivalry so far for both schools and has been one of the few positives to come as a result of conf. realignment for the conference from an athletic standpoint.

the way i see it is this. for conf. realignment to work the older members need to sacrifice for the newer members to make the transition easier for them. building up CU-arizona I think is something the conference needs to do.
