I think another year, without injuries, would have moved both these guys into the first round. Too bad, because it would have had a huge impact on our defense this year as well.
I don't disagree, but I think that there is a big difference in money between a top half of the first round and a mid second round pick. I think both of these guys could have been top 20 picks without the injuries. Yes, they risk additional injuries, but Tuitt's problem was due to him going into 2013 about 20 pounds too heavy.
u beat me to it. If both stayed both would of 100% been a 1st rd next year and maybe top 15 picks. They were told wrong info. Kelly told them to stay but they didn't want to listen.
I recall having a conversation with a USC fan about who would have the first player and more players drafted in the 1st round. Not only did Notre Dame beat them on the field but in the NFL draft has well.
Nix didn't go in the 2nd. Bad call to leave early.
