Any Weather Report fans?

I figure with a bunch of prog and Metheny fans around here, there'd have to be a few Weather Report aficionado's lurking about.

I pretty much love every album/CD, up to and including Night Passages (allright, allright; Mr Gone is merely ok). My favorite two CD's are still, Black Market and Tale Spinnin.

Zawinul was amazing pre-WR, too

My favorite albums by WR are Mysterious Traveler and Heavy Weather

Two great choices, yoga. If you asked me a year ago (or a year from now) Mysterious Traveler is probably my favorite.

I've been listening to Heavy Weather since the 70's and I still love that one, too (especially Havona).

Tail Spinnin' is solid choice too...

Alphonso J. was an awesome bassist with them......as were M.Vitous, and Jaco P. obviously.

I should mention, a great album by a group who most would dismiss as crud (and for good reason) is Journey's first album -- Journey. It's a very jazz fusion inspired effort; certainly not the, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah stuff of later efforts.

Al Di Meola and Stanley Clark soar..........but I like all their work.
