Any idea why Ryan Braun has the 3rd most votes for National League in the all-star game?

Braun is currently 3rd in votes for all of the National League outfielders for the All-star game. He would be starting the All-star game if voting continues as it is. Why is this? Do people not really hate him? Are Milwaukee fans stuffing the box? Or are people admitting that he is a pretty good player?

Because he's a big name and a pretty darn good player?

Love him or hate him, he's one of the best players in baseball.

He served his time. The moral indignation police need to get off the pedestals they've built up for themselves.

You really can't be serious. If that applies to anyone, it applies to Ryan Braun.

The morality of people in this country is at in all time low. He was caught cheating twice, got off due to a technicality once and was suspended the other time. Even if you don't have a problem with PED use, you should have a problem with someone lying to you repeatedly and trying to destroy a mans life in the process of trying to save himself. He's a lying scumbag and I will never believe he's anything but a dirty player.

Plus he has herpes. Or is that Jeter?

I'm completely serious.

Steroids in baseball are a giant joke wrapped up in big ball of hypocrisy that MLB and the Players Union have created mutually. It wasn't testing that allowed for the biggest PED bust in MLB history, which is pretty indicative that it's a toothless joke of a testing "program".

Corrupt from top to bottom. That's MLB and the Players Union alike. I like it when individuals take on corrupt organizations and embarrass them. He got his punishment in the end, and it's time to move on.

The media preyed on the faux moral indignation of infants. ESPN is especially good at that.

And no one cared about Hank Aaron and others using amphetamines.

It's all just hysterical.

It's nothing compared to the "testing" system in the NFL, though. It would be the most boring sport in the world if not for players doing enough PED to kill small elephants. It's amazing to me that anybody is ever stupid enough to get caught in either MLB or the NFL, but the NFL especially.

Infants aren't capable of indignation, whether real or imagined. Just more of your smarmy, self-important bullshit.

Almost as good as the Lance Armstrong saga.

Everybody in that establishment has known for over a decade that nearly everybody dopes in cycling, and certainly all of the top cyclists. Even at smaller tour events, they have found cars filled with suitcases full of PED and 200 liter cases with bags of blood for transfusion.

The whole "he destroyed lives" thing is hilarious because the fuckers who chose to target him instead of put energy into truly trying to clean up the sport were corrupt and hypocritical scum who deserved what they got.

Children don't see the big picture, though. They choose to focus on whatever the tabloid media wants them to focus on.
