Another position change, Patterson to RBD

Dominique Patterson is moving from Whip to Running Back. He was 4th on the depth chart over there behind JGW, Tweedy and Dew.

He's big for a RB. I always saw him as a linebacker....so...I am kind of shocked. We needed depth there though. I will try and find some film and get back to you.

Yea I saw that. He is definitely kind of tall for the role but does run a 4.5 according to Rivals. But maybe they are looking for a mauler for another 1-2 punch with Wilson. If I remember correctly about JO when he was pitted against Evans back in the day he could never really get vertical and gain those tough yards. So maybe this guy has a different mindset and will truck / maul over people...

I will say also that I am a big ND fan at the Whip. Can't wait to finally see this kid get some playing time!

A bit shocked as well. I thought Patterson was supposed to grow into a stud LB. Hope it's a good move in the end.
