it happens to the best of us, no worries.
LOL...just like the two people that voted yes.
Heck I bet those two people would vote for Bubby Brister to enter the Hall of Fame.

its funny, when elway retired he had 31 4th quarter comebacks. 3rd place. part of his mistique. (unitas had 34, marino 33)

vinny had 29.

He also went to 5 Super Bowls.

How many did Vinny play in, again?

For better or worse, a QB is judged by the SB. Marino is the only HOF QB without a ring, but he still made it to the SB once. It may not be fair, but QBs are judged by winning. Want to be recognized as an all-time great, Hall of Fame QB? You better win a Super Bowl or two.

yup, im with ya on the superbowls. his best shot was 2002, but the defense didnt help him in the playoffs (268 yards, 3 TD's). his 1995 win vs my pats still haunts me.

Answer the poll. Feel free to debate.

Not unless he comes back and actually wins something....Nice guy, very classy, great role model and full of talent...It's a shame he didn't get a SB, but there is a saying I use, "you have to keep on keeping on if you want to win the battle, it's for sure quitters just can't win".
I know he has his reasons and life is more important than football, but you have to adhere to the game if you expect to be in the HOF.....

Uh .... No he's not . 33% of HoF QBs don't have a ring and many never even made the SB. Moon , Fouts , Kelly, Tarkenton and many more

There's been so many qbs with long successful careers that I think you need some longevity to make it. I could see a running back having a few great years and getting to the hall of fame. I think if OJ retired at age 29 he would still be in the hall of fame. It also would have altered the time-space continuum and we would have missed out on that fascinating trial in the late 90's

I think there is a rule on if a QB plays on 7 different teams he cant be considered great at anything but travel planning.

We are up to 3 yes votes. I can't believe the "yes" contingent is keeping pace with the "tater salad" faction. It'll be a helluva race. Photo finish.
