Who the hell is going to be the starting QB for Ohio State next year??
JT Barrett - as a freshman who was handed the reigns just 2 weeks prior to the season beginning finished with 2,800 passing yards and 34 td and 10 ints. He also rushed for over 900 yards and another 11 TDs...those are heisman finalist numbers as a freshman who didn't expect to play this season. He is the most polished passer of the 3.
Cardale "12 gauge" Jones - redshirt sophmore sat the entire year behind Barrett and due to injury was handed the reigns for the 3 biggest games of the season: Conference Championship Game vs Wisky, Sugar Bowl vs Bama, National Championship game vs Oregon. He responded by making big plays and leading the team to 3 wins and a national title. Remarkable. Cardale is by far the biggest of the 3 and has the biggest arm.
Braxton Miller (if he stays) - lost for the season just 2 weeks prior to it starting, he is the forgotten QB of the 3, which is absurd. Winner of B1G offensive player of the year in both 2012 and 2013. Braxton, despite missing games due to injury in '13 threw for 2,000 yards and 24 td to 7 ints. He also ran for 1068 yards and another 12 td. The year prior he had similar stats: 2k passing yards, 1,200 rushing yards. He is by far the most dynamic runner of the 3, but is also the weakest passer.
Its possible that Braxton leaves, he can xfer w/o sitting a year due to graduating. It's somewhat possible that Jones tries his luck in the draft, he cannot xfer w/o losing a year and would only have 1 more year of eligibility left. JT has already stated he is staying.
My guess is that its going to be open competition in spring. Should be an incredible show.
