OK, so here goes.

My friend who was coming into town bought 6 tickets, but the price was just way to high after I had lost out on the scam with my sis and her boyfriend. He had a couple people bail on him last minute for a very understandable feeling, but was hoping to use the spares to recoup some of the money he had spent.

Well....it would have cost me 250 a piece, for the other two (which is what he payed), and I just could not drop another 500.

So, we went to the casino. He shoots craps. I dabble a bit, but mostly just chill and watch the Miami-Notre Dame game with my girl. We mosey on back to the table and my friend has already pocketed the 500 he started with and has a shit ton of chips. I don't say a word and let the whole thing play out. His girl is tossing, and tosses for a long long time so I know things are likely going well.

About 10 minutes after we get there and are sort of off to the side he spots us. A bit of a crowd has gathered. Without even looking directly at us, he turns and points to us and says "you al are going to the classic for sure now." I kind of crack up a bit. he and his girl finishes and he heads over to us with his chips to turn in.....$2500. He started with 500 which he had already pocketed. I know it isd not a huge win, but it made me really happy, ha ha, and that is quite a bit for maybe an hours work.

So, I was like, dude, you don't have to spot me. He was like "fuck you dude, you are hosting us, and this is the casinos money i was lucky enough to win, the tickets are yours, and we are going to go have some fun."

So we did....and then couldnt get a cab...until 730 this morning, but still...game is on, and i am happy for the delay.

Nice! Enjoy the game. BTW thats a huge win in my book. Two years ago I won $1800 winning for the year in a football pickem and I thought it was a huge amount of money suddenly in my pocket.

LOL. I almost went to that, 46. I was a couple blocks away on Carson Street, which was just loaded with Caps' fans. I heard the party was fun though from tailgaters and had 100+ Caps' fans.

Another tailgater I hung with hung out with Post Caps' reporters Tarik and Katie, as well as Scott Burnside. This guy asked Katie if she was a Pens' fan (she's from Pittsburgh), but she was evasive.
