And the Bengals are loaded. After this season, a lot of Cowboys fans may be asking, if TE was a priority, why not Eifert in the 1st and Fredrick in the 2nd. I thought Eifert was gonna be a stud, but the kid is looking like Aaron Hernandez without the police record

Two reasons. 1 OL was THE #1 priority. #2 There is absolutely NO guarantee Frederick would be there in the 2nd. After all the top OLmen were gone Dallas made the best move they could have by trading back and getting a needed OLman. I didn't like Escobar in the 2nd and to a lesser extent I didn't care for the Williams pick. However Williams may prove to be a great decision. The more I heard about Floyd I began to not want him at all, and I didn't want any of the Safeties at 18.

You are 100% right on the reason they took Fredrick when they did, but in that case, Swearinger or even another OL, Jones, Armstead, or Warford made far more sense to me in the 2nd. I'm only saying that if TE was enough of a priority that they would use a 2nd on Escobar, the thought of grabbing Eifert, and possibly getting Fredrick to boot, and at the minimum one of the OL, might have been worth the risk. That said, Frederick looks good so far

I had Warford in Dallas as soon as we were up to draft. I have no idea why but Warford was not even on our draft board. As for the TE I didn't even want to think abut one until the 4th at the earliest. Maybe Escobar pans out and I will be made to look like a fool. If so great. If not it wont be the first 2nd rounder we missed on. The draft is nothing more than a crap shoot. Sometimes you win but more often you lose.

The blood vessel in my forehead would have burst!!!!! & I would have bled out, if we drafted a TE in the 1st round! It damn near killed me when we drafted one in the 2nd LOL So I guess I should thank god we didn't draft one in the 1st. :rollseyes:

HAHA, Schoompy, I agree completely, I'm just saying if they were so committed to getting a TE that they would spend a 2nd rounder, it seems like getting a great one in Eifert at 18 would have made more sense. At 31, Fredrick was fine, if they had stayed at 18, I would have loved Floyd. That's the great thing about these boards, its all gonna come out in the wash if they were right or if they are gonna kick themselves

After we traded our 18th pick away I was hoping Sylvester Williams would slide to us but Denver took him a couple picks before us. No regrets taking Frederick, but I agree with most of you, I would have not taken TE in second round. I personally wanted another O-lineman or a D-lineman.
