Making the top 10 is huge accomplishment for a guy like Isner.
Expecting him to make it deep in majors consistently is unrealistic. It's a game of movement more than anything else at the top of the game. It's why you don't see the giant guys making it past the round of 16 very often over the past decade at majors.
Isner has absolutely maximized his potential, which is all any fan could ask for. He's returning and moving better than he ever has thanks to his commitment to hard work off the court. If only Harrison and Sock would get a clue and commit to fitness, they'd be doing a lot better.
He always play good in the USA and usually make a deep round at all the tournaments in the US except the big one which is the US Open so no surprise
