Movies and TV shows often tell a story through a certain POV. Thus, the viewer sees character A as a hero and character B as a villain.

However, when viewed from a different POV, those judgements can be completely flipped.

There's another fun theory that in The Big Lebowski Donny is just a figure of Walter's imagination. For the bulk of the movie the only one to interact with Donny is Walter. However one time The Dude answers a question that Donny asks.

Interesting theory, but Walter is a side character. Why go to that extreme for a side character?
