Yeah I kinda screwed up on the bench. It's hard to pass up AI but you have to have a particular team for him to fit

Iverson gets such a bad stigma as being a selfish player. I think the truth lies somewhere in between. He did need a high volume of shots to be effective, but a lot of that was by necessity. Take a look at his 2001 roster which he took to the finals:

Aaron McKie
Tyrone Hill
Dikembe Mutumbo

Bench:
Toni Kukoc
George Lynch
Todd McCullough
Matt Geiger
Theo Ratliff
Kevin Ollie

That is a terrible team by any standards. How the hell was he supposed to pass and create for those guys?

I've always agreed to this and felt building a team like that (similar skill sets) would be the only way I'd pick him in these drafts, but nobody would vote for me... I also always wondered how Kobe would have faired on a team set for him to play the way AI played... IMO he would have hit over 100...

Idk I have always thought Dirk was a bad matchup for anyone but he also cant play defense. I do know it would have created a lot more spacing for your team
