Why do I think if Iggy got fined that Flames ownership would pick up the tab?

I mean, I understand it's for the fans... They want to see their favorite players out there together on the ice, but if a player wants to take that time off to spend with their family, the league and the fans should respect that. I could see fines being dished out in the NFL because they only play once a week, but in a league where the players are gone 4/5ths of the week, this shouldn't even be a thought.

If a player doesn't want to play they shouldn't have too. I know it's for the Flames but it's just an exhibition game. The league is very focused on promoting the sport which is fine, but after seeing Dipietro bust his knee & hip to the point that he can't play on a regular basis because of a stupid skills competition, I've really soured on the whole damn thing.

According to TSN Hemsky has a concussion. So he might be out as well. Dubinsky will be out 3 to 4 weeks with a stress fracture to his leg.
