He probably could have played the last 5 or so games of last season. The Islanders said don't bother. He wanted to play for Switzerland in the World Championships, but was told since he missed the entire season not too.

Streit is healthy & ready to go come September 16th, the day Islanders training camp begins.

No, but I remember in 2009-2010 he was the guy everyone couldn't believe got snubbed. He did actually deserve it that year easily (much as I hate to give him credit) being on and finishing at a 40-goal pace despite missing two weeks in November. He got jobbed, not that he probably cares.

Watch Bergenheim erupt this year, book it. I liked his play a lot during the B's/'Ning series. I never really paid much attention to him before that. He is going to have a huge impact on the Panthers.

He was great in the playoffs last year, but I don't know I'd "book" a 27-year old who has never had 30 points in a season suddenly being an all-star, especially when he plays for a less talented team and will be facing better defenders game in and game out.
