Good point. Ohio State in not in the playoffs yet. They mostly likely will back in.
They aren't in yet. If they get in it will be because they backed in. PSU has the head to head if they win. Either way if they do back in.And Clemson and Washington win. OSU by rights should drop to 4. Especially if we have 3 conference champions with better records

There are a few I believe LSU schedules home and homes. I would like to see more SEC teams going the home and home route. SC always has. Including cross country games
I haven't looked at all of the schedule from 15/20 years out, but I didn't notice any home and home scheduled between the SEC and the PAC 12 in the near future.

Alabama is getting in no matter what.

The only question if that chaos happens is will the politics of the committee allow 3 teams from the Big Ten or not.

Because Wisconsin would be favored over the remaining 3 Power 5 champs, and Michigan and Ohio St. are unequivocally better than Virginia Tech, Clemson (who would be the only other non-conference champ who could make an argument), Oklahoma, Ok. State, and Colorado.

Lol, no. Wisconsin would not be favoured the other champs

This just isn't going to happen.

I agree it's not likely, because the Pac-12, ACC, and Big 12 will scream bloody murder.

But........if we are being honest, that's what should happen in that scenario.

Really, why?

They definitely would be favored over Va. Tech.
It would be close over Colorado, but......they played Michigan tighter, have better win, and play in a better conference.
It would also be close over Oklahoma, but.....they played Ohio St. tighter and play in a better conference.

If it comes down to Wisconsin and Michigan for the 4th seed that will be a very tough choice honestly. What would the committee value more? A conference ship or H2H? I guess it depends how that game would play out bc remember Michigan beat Penn St by a lot. I still think Wisconsin would have the slight edge but it's close

If Wisconsin destroys PSU, they are in.

Back in. They are at #2 :pound:

PAC homers are furious lol
You are right about one thing they are 2 in their division. Which is why they would be backing in. If anyone should be mad its PSU but........Im definitely enjoying laughing at the excuses :dhd:

OSU wouldn't deserve to be in over a PSU team. With a head to head victory and a conference championship imo.If the best team translates to money and ratings than SC is in

UofM and OSU have played the two highest rated college football games, 2006 and 2016. They have the largest alumni associations and sorry but the West Coast bias is real. It's not a knock on USC as they may be playing some of the best football in the country right now but they have lost some luster.

The problem is the sponsors and media. They have way to much influence. If UW or Clemson loose and Wisconsin, PSU or Oklahoma jump UofM then my theory is wrong. But I just see the push to have a Saban vs Harbaugh matchup.

If Wisconsin destroys PSU, they are in.

The committee has already started priming the pump to exclude Whisky and PSU by placing them below UofM in the rankings. I can see and buy into they lost H2H against UofM and OSU.

PSU is really the only B1G school I could make the argument for as they beat OsU H2H and have 1 more win than OSU or UofM.

Excuses? They are at 2. They are in. Again I ask, how are they "backing in"?

This just isn't going to happen.
Here is an interesting stat I heard Mark Packer bring up on XM yesterday.

He used Wisconsin and Colorado as the examples. He questioned the committee's consistency/motives by pointing out that Wisconsin has one top 25 win (#21 LSU) and two top 25 losses (#2 OSU, #5 Michigan). Colorado has two top 25 wins (#18 Stanford, #20 Utah) and two top 25 losses (#5 Michigan, #11 USC)...and is the only other two loss team with two top 25 wins besides Michigan. By the committee's own current rankings, both Colorado's wins #18, #20 are better than Wisconsin's #21 LSU. He felt if they were rewarding good WINS, Colorado should be behind Michigan AT THIS POINT instead of WIsconsin. Wisconsin's losses were to #s 2 and 5, while Colorado's were to #s 5 an 11. His conclusion was they must be rewarding good losses more than good wins. But, he didn't feel like the losses were enough to knock out an additional win.

Found it interesting.
