He does but Roger is changing the rules as he please.

At most he's supposed to be suspended for 6 games

Sadly this is true. It would not shock me (but I certainly would be pissed about it) if Rice is "reinstated" and the NFL apologizes to him

True enough. But The NFL already suspended him for the incident. Not getting the video is on them.

Ray Rice expected to appeal indefinite suspension from NFL - ESPN

Ray Rice is expected to appeal his indefinite suspension from the NFL, sources confirmed to ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.

Rice was released by the Baltimore Ravens this past Monday, just hours after TMZ released a video of the star running back punching his then-fiancee in a casino elevator.

Rice must file the appeal by 11:59 p.m. ET on Tuesday -- three business days after the NFL officially notified the players' union of the suspension.

The NFLPA still has not finalized its plan on a basis for the appeal and is considering multiple ideas, sources told Schefter.

ProFootballTalk.com reported earlier Sunday that Rice planned to appeal the suspension.

The whole Rice thing is making Goodell look like someone who doesn't have a clue.

He certainly doesn't care about domestic abuse. That's for sure

I dont think he should even get 6. That rule was made after his suspension. Ray should be able to play next week, if he had a team.

Welp... Welker got suspended and things changed for him... So I'm wondering if this will happen for Rice as well (but I don't think a team will pick him up)

I agree with this...But at most he should be suspended 6 even though it will be BS also but no way should he be suspended more than 6 games or else Roger will look like a fuck boy if he doesn't suspend Hard & the guy from San Fran the same amount immediately

Good. I think he's getting what he deserves but Goodell can't make up the rules as he goes along.

Rice should not get suspended for more than his original suspension given nothing new came up after it was handed down.

This overreaction was to save face for the league and is a complete joke.

No one sane suggests what he did was ok, nor that he shouldn't be punished for it, but lose his job forever?

By all accounts this is an otherwise great guy who does great things outside of football and there is no hint of any other domestic incidents. He and his wife both went through counseling and have worked hard to put this behind them only to have this thing blow up again and why? Because TMZ should be blown the fuck up. That's why.

I hardly believe this was and will be the first and only time Rice will hit her or has done something like this. Sure he is NO Adrian Peterson but I highly doubt he is a choir boy.

Different (drugs v domestic violence) but Welker and Gordon got their suspensions reduced because of a "new rule" so why shouldn't Rice?
