As impressive a win as i've seen Pitt have in quite some time. Hope they do the same to UNC

Maryland never really embraced the ACC tournament.
They were always the least willing participant and most vocal critic of it.

For the last 30 years, the ACC tourney was the biggest complaint of Maryland (and also Georgia Tech).
MD always seemed happy to lose early and get out.

It is kind of sad that the issue was never completely resolved.
And maybe Maryland was over-reacting a bit in their long hatred of the ACC tournament.

This is probably best for them to get out of the uncomfortable situation as quickly as possible.
If the TERPS had advanced, it would have gotten more bitter with each win.

I don't get all the Maryland hate. The ACC was better with them in it if for no other reason than it was the school that all the other schools loved to hate. Yeah, they chose to leave but it was still fun to have them around
