... and 0-1 v. t/real SEC in national championship games.

How does the sec always have a higher sos, with all those cupcakes?

Not trying to defend our schedule but the reason the SEC has a strong SOS is that they usually schedule the tougher P5 teams when they schedule P5 teams. You don't see many SEC schools playing Baylor, Minnesota, Purdue, Iowa State, NC State, Boston College, Rutgers, etc.

They are playing FSU, Clemson, Oklahoma, UCLA, USC, Wisconsin, Virginia Tech, etc.

Certainly true of Tennessee, even when Tennessee is down they schedule some pretty good games.

To be fair, those SEC teams didn't want to be there.

Well it rained or it was cold or the sun was in their eyes or something. I mean LSU had to play in Wisconsin! They're lucky it didn't snow.

Just looking at the H2H records is extremely misleading. For instance the ACC vs SEC

The ACC had the higher ranked team in 7 of the 9 games going 6-1

The SEC had the higher ranked team in 2 games going 2-0.

And if in 7 of the 9 games the ACC was 'the better team,' it should probably also say something about the conferences as a whole.
