What a fucking awesome game, total 2010 torture style. FYWW in effect. tzill (and msg) approved. Fucking entertaining.

Gotta clinch soon enough to give Bum and the others a start or two off.

Straight up September 2010 torture.

MadBum with his 15th win! Congratulations, young man!

Good to see him get back on track... I was worrying he was fatigued. A playoff rotation with Cain and Bum at the top is far stronger and more conducive to winning than one featuring Cain and Timmy/Zito as the #2.

If only Vogelsong could have gotten it back together, we'd have as strong a rotation as 2010. I guess he has what 2 or 3 more starts left, so maybe he can pick up the pieces too, if so I'm feeling really good about our chances.

Brown had to run to his right to catch the ball on a high bounce. When I saw him catch the ball with all his momentum going toward the left field line, I figured there was no way he'd throw Craw out. He set his feet quickly and gunned it home, getting Craw by perhaps an inch or two.

It was an extremely close, but bad, call. As was Posey not havin Fowler in the first inning. Both were safe, and Kruk missed both even with replay.

I think he was fatigued, hence all the walks (most in his career). Kruk said guys with his kind of release have trouble with it when they get tired.

I hope they realize this and rest the starters after we clinch, get them fresh for the playoffs. Vogelsong, Bum, even Timmy and Cain could benefit. Zito is actually immune IMO.

Actually I hope they do too, bringing the kids to the game so doesn't matter if it's all Giants scrubs out there.

The best part is the lack of reaction from The Riot. "Yeah, dude. My kids do that, too."

Vogelsong needs to turn a good start or two before I'd even consider him for the postseason roster, rest or no rest. But I think you're right that they could all benefit from some rest... except Zito, agreed, hard to get tired throwing like a grandma.
